
We are the 8th region of the Virginia
Bass Federation and include the counties of York, James City, Gloucester,
Mathews, King and Queen, Essex, Middlesex, Lancaster, Richmond, Northumberland,
Westmoreland and all cities within them, and the cities of Poquoson, Hampton,
Newport News and Williamsburg.
Our Region 8 meetings are on the 2nd Thursday
of each month at Sam's Steak & Spaghetti House on Jefferson Ave in
Newport News at 6:00 PM. Sam's is on the right, going east from Rt
17/Jefferson Ave interchange, just before the Hot Dog King Restaurant.
We welcome individuals who would
like to become a member of Region 8 and encourage you to visit our OFFICERS link
to find out more about the Chapters who make up our REGION. We will gladly help
existing clubs establish a Charter with the VA-BASS FEDERATION.

CONSTITUTION

MISSION STATEMENT:
Region 8 was established to preserve and promote the sport of angling for
largemouth bass and smallmouth bass; to introduce youth to sport fishing; to
conserve water and other natural resources to work for an abundant, healthy and
self-sustaining bass fishery wherever a natural potential exists; and to support
the local, state and national agencies which conserve and manage the fresh water
sport fishery and other associated natural resources.
FORMAT: Region 8 is a FLW and VA Bass FEDERATION
organization. We are currently made up of 7 clubs and hold 5 TEAM tournaments a
year (counting the best 4 out of 5) to establish qualifying for the VA-BASS FALL
CLASSIC. The TOP TWENTY qualifiers represent Region 8 at the FALL CLASSIC.
